At SP-Arte 2026, Galeria Frente reaffirms its position within the art circuit by presenting a project that articulates market, historiography, and critical investigation. The booth is structured around a group of artists who are fundamental to the construction of modern and contemporary visuality, both in the Brazilian and international contexts.
The curatorial proposal unfolds through a reading that tensions narratives and techniques within a commercial framework. In this context, the exhibition design places in dialogue names such as Mira Schendel and Heitor dos Prazeres alongside Rubem Valentim and Eliseu Visconti.
On the international level, the presence of Carlos Cruz-Diez stands out as one of the major figures of 20th-century kinetic art, developing a pioneering investigation of color as an autonomous phenomenon, especially in the work that will be presented, Physichromie, in which color transforms according to the viewer’s movement.
The highlight of the booth is dedicated to Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato, with 16 works, establishing a central axis of articulation between the fair and the gallery’s exhibition space. The project expands with the launch of the catalogue of the exhibition “The Mysterious World Invented by Lorenzato”, currently on view simultaneously at the gallery’s headquarters, curated by Agnaldo Farias.
By extending its scope toward exhibition and research, Galeria Frente confirms its role beyond the commercial circuit, proposing a space of continuous dialogue between artwork, context, and critical thought.
